This position is responsible for providing analysis and guidance on station audiences and key demographic trends in the Tampa Bay market. This is not just an analytical position; the research director must take an active role in creating client solutions, station sales initiatives, identifying marketing opportunities for the station, and informing the sales team of evolving digital opportunities.
In addition to a knack for numbers, the research director will build effective multimedia (broadcast and digital) sales and marketing materials, for the local and national sales staff, create and present client-centric, easy to understand presentations, develop influential stories through data points, and deliver daily, weekly and monthly highlights across all station platforms and within the Tampa market in general. An added and growing area of responsibility includes analysis and recommendations for optimization on digital campaigns.
The traditional duties for maintaining third party research tools, forecasting and projecting ratings, and staying abreast of new audience measurement changes that will benefit the station and clients are a large focus of this position.
