Specific dutis include, but are not limited Managing inventory; evaluating pacing; developing sales strategies; supervising and evaluating performance of the Sales team; evaluating station revenue performance against the market; maintaining rate cards; focusing on New Direct business; defining commission structures and overseeing the budget process.
This position oversees the Commercial Production and Traffic Departments and is responsible for oversight and strategy with the National Rep firms.
The Director of Sales also handles inventory control and pricing; making local contacts and approving orders for processing. The ability to motivate, manage, and develop local/national sales representative is essential.
The successful candidate will have 5 to 10 years experience in a Broadcast television sales management role and a highly motivated personality with great interpersonal skills. Solid written and verbal communication skills are a must. Successful candidates must pass a drug test and background check.
